In July 2017 Nashwaak Villa partnered with True Doors, a company based in The Netherlands that specializes in making personalized door decals.

As a successful applicant of the Fredericton Community Foundation Community Grant, Nashwaak Villa was able to offer each resident the opportunity to select or create their own personal front door for each resident room. The door decals have truly changed the look at feel of our home, creating a personalized and home-like atmosphere for Nashwaak Villa residents.

The Nashwaak Villa Accessible Rural Transportation Program began operating in November 2019.

The bus is able to operate two days per month due to the receipt of the Economic Social Inclusion Grant of $25,000. The program allows seniors in Stanley and surrounding communities the opportunity for transport to Fredericton to run errands such as grocery shopping and banking.

We needed a wheel-chair access bus to provide outings for residents and extend care services to elders living in our community. This video tells the story of how we made it happen!
